Former MTV VJ Dweezil Zappa’s marriage is coming to an end — but not before he could continue his father Frank Zappa’s obsession with giving children ridiculous names.

Dweezil’s wife just filed for divorce in L.A. County Superior Court, and according to the documents, she wants Dweez to share joint legal custody of their two daughters: Zola Frank and Ceylon Indira.

In the docs, Dweezil’s wife of five years — Lauren Knudsen — cited irreconcilable differences.

Just to jog your memory, Dweezil’s sisters are named Moon Unit and Diva.

Frank McCourt has offered to pay his wife Jamie $150,000 a month in spousal support … which doesn’t sound bad until you realize she was asking for $1 million.

Jamie’s lawyers requested the astronomical amount in part because they say she has to pay mortgages on seven houses.

Outside of court today, Frank’s lawyers came out swinging by claiming Jamie uses one house to do laundry, one to hold her furniture and one as a $27 million swimming hole … and if she wants to pay the mortgages, she can simply place some of the multi-million dollar mansions up for rent.

Charlie Sheen got a standing ovation from the audience before and after taping last Friday during filming of “Two and a Half Men,” TMZ has learned.

Our spies say when Charlie walked out on the stage the audience rose to its collective feet and went nuts.

Charlie filmed from 7-10:15 pm. He got a standing O at the end, then got in his car and returned to rehab in Malibu.

The set of “Two and a Half Men” — which normally films in front of a live studio audience — had been closed to audience members earlier this month, after Sheen pled not guilty to felony assault stemming from the Christmas incident involving wife, Brooke Mueller.

Sheen’s trial is set to start July 21 … but there’s a strong likelihood of a plea bargain.

Frank McCourt’s lawyer says there’s a reason Jamie and her entourage weren’t allowed into Dodgers Stadium yesterday — because “when the circus comes to town, it goes to Staples Center.”

Frank and his legal team were leaving court today in L.A., where Frank’s bitter batter with Jamie over spousal support continues.

Frank’s lawyer said Jamie would have been allowed inside Dodgers Stadium yesterday to clean out her office … if she wouldn’t have made such a spectacle out of it.

Andrew and Owen Wilson are collaborating on a new project together — they’re co-defendants in an assault case.

A paparazzo is suing the pair over an alleged fight that went down in Santa Monica on December 5, 2008. The photog, Clint Brewer, claims he “sustained severe bodily injuries, a portion of which are permanent.”

According to a lawsuit filed last week, Brewer says he “was walking up the stairs and was pushed in the back by” Owen Wilson. Brewer claims he has suffered medical expenses in the amount of $3,251.10 and general damages in the amount of $500,000.

Fired L.A. Dodgers CEO Jamie McCourt’s lawyers say it’s gonna cost her around $9 million in lawyers fees to seal the divorce deal with hubby Frank McCourt … and she’s already in the hole $800,000, this according to oral arguments in court this morning.

Interesting … on Saturday, one of Jamie’s lawyers, David Boies, told TMZ Frank’s lawyers are charging a lot more. The divorce is expected to cost a total of $19 mil in lawyers fees. If true, we’re guessing $9 million is a bargain compared to $10 mil.

The hearing over spousal support continues this AM.

Carrie Prejean isn’t just opposed to gay marriage, she’s also opposed to paying more than $64,000 to the “Christian-focused” PR firm who helped her out, this according to a new lawsuit.

The group — A. Larry Ross Communications — claims Prejean contacted them back in April, 2009 and logged “hundreds of hours” helping Prejean spread her “biblically correct” message.

But according to the lawsuit, filed earlier this month in Texas, Prejean’s actions were the opposite of Christian — because she never paid the $64,857 bill.

Chaz Bono is taking another major step in his gender transition — he’s applied to legally change his name.

TMZ has learned Chaz filed an application last week at L.A. County Superior Court to change his name from his female birth name Chastity Sun Bono — to Chaz Bono.

As we first reported, Chaz began the gender transition process in 2009.

Bono Family Fun Fact: Cherilyn Sarkisian Bono Allman legally changed her name to just Cher in 1979.
